Supersymmetric large-order perturbation with the Nicolai map

نویسندگان

چکیده

In rigidly supersymmetric quantum theories, the Nicolai map allows one to turn on a coupling constant (from zero finite value) by keeping (free) functional integration measure but subjecting fields particular nonlocal and nonlinear transformation. A recursive perturbative construction of Nicolai-transformed field configuration expresses it as power series in coupling, with its coefficient function at order $n$ being sum tree diagrams. For quantum-mechanical example, size these diagrams (under certain norm) is estimated $(n{+}1)$st size, their number grows like $n^{-3/2}\times4.967^{\;n}$. Such an asymptotic behavior translates convergence radius for formal expansion map, which establishes non-perturbative existence. The known factorial growth Feynman correlators reproduced combinatorics free-field Wick contractions usual. We expect our results extend higher dimensions, including super Yang-Mills theory.

D-brane Configurations and Nicolai Map in Supersymmetric Yang-Mills Theory

We discuss some properties of a supersymmetric matrix model that is the dimensional reduction of supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory in ten dimensions and which has been recently argued to represent the short-distance structure of M theory in the infinite momentum frame. We use T-duality to describe the relationship between D-brane coordinatizations and gauge fields. We show that this connection s...

High order perturbation study of the frustrated quantum Ising chain

In this paper, using high order perturbative series expansion method, the critical exponents of the order parameter and susceptibility in transition from ferromagnetic to disordered phases for 1D quantum Ising model in transverse field, with ferromagnetic nearest neighbor and anti-ferromagnetic next to nearest neighbor interactions, are calculated. It is found that for small value of the frustr...

Second-order perturbation theory: problems on large scales

In general-relativistic perturbation theory, a point mass accelerates away from geodesic motion due to its gravitational self-force. Because the self-force is small, one can often approximate the motion as geodesic. However, it is well known that self-force effects accumulate over time, making the geodesic approximation fail on long timescales. It is less well known that this failure at large t...

Large-Order Perturbation Theory in Infrared-Unstable Superrenormalizable Field Theories

We study the factorial divergences of Euclidean φ5, a problem with connections both to high-energy multiparticle scattering in d=4 and to d=3 (or high-temperature) gauge theory, which like φ5 is infrared-unstable and superrenormalizable. At large external momentum p (or small mass M) and large order N one might expect perturbative bare skeleton graphs to behave roughly like N !(ag/p) with a > 0...

Curvature Perturbation from Supersymmetric Flat Directions

We show that a contribution to the total curvature perturbation may be due to the presence of flat directions in supersymmetric models. It is generated at the first oscillation of the flat direction condensate when the latter relaxes to the minimum of its potential after the end of inflation. We also point out that, if the contribution to the total curvature perturbation from supersymmetric fla...
